FOOTBALL: Cech Might Be Living Very Soon

According to The Daily Mail, Petr Cech could be considering a Chelsea exit with several big-money clubs reprtedly interested in his service. The paper is claiming that Cech wants to be assured he'll have a fair opportunity to displace Burnley starter Thibaut Courtois in goal if he's going to remain at Chelsea, and that French clubs Monaco and PSG still have interest in his services.
The paper goes on to reinforce what we already knew, that Jose Mourinho would prefer to keep both Cech and Courtois at the club this season. Whether or not that's a feasible scenario is something that could certainly be up for debate, but I'd think the manager would be able to keep both parties happy at least until the January window opens.
That said, if Cech doesn't believe he's going to have much of a chance at displacing Courtois, I'd feel awful keeping him here in a backup capacity he's unhappy with. I'd much rather see him sent to a Champions League club where he'd be a clear first choice starter, even if it gives us a somewhat more difficult road to winning. Petr has just done so many good things for the club and its fans that profiting on his departure shouldn't be a concern, though if Monaco are willing to pay big and he's willing to play for them, I wouldn't complain.
